I just set up a MVR9 box with Kodi, which works great.

In order to make things simpler and safer for guests who will stay at my place, I'm wondering if it's possible to limit how far up in the menus a user can go (= prevent ESC or Back from a certain point).

For example, as an admin, I can navigate through Kodi->Videos->Video add-ons->Name of the Add-on->Live TV->List of countries->List of channels for a country

I'd like restrict this for guests to List of countries->List of channels for a country

Is that possible?

Thanks

Customisation in kodi is pretty much restricted to setting up discrete user profiles which can prevent, for example, kids accessing porn.
To do what you want, I guess you would have to clone the addon, and hack the code to remove the countries from menus etc. Thats certainly possible but strikes me as a lot of work. Maybe investigate if you can set up certain countries as "favourites/short cuts"? I used to use this method to give quick access to live music channels.

What is an MVR9 box btw. Is it one supplied by Droidbox? (this is their user forum)
