rooting amlogic s805

Hi. I've recently just just purchased an amlogic s805

How do I go about rooting it? I'm looking to get emulators and hook my ps4 controller up to it aswell as watch movies and whatever else I can do with the box.

1) That specific page states it'll be on sale from 1st of February, are you sure your model is exactly the same as that?

2) You'd be better off asking the support team of the company that sold the device to you (unless it was us? In which case, was it a T8 you purchased from xbmcgadgetshub ?)

3) As it happens I was checking out the rooting procedure on my T8 this morning. Don't try this unless a) You don't care about your warranty (possible that it wouldn't be replaced if something went really wrong) and b) You're comfy configuring/flashing Android devices (in case anything goes wrong).
I followed the steps after 6) here - http://www.freaktab.com/showthread....-S89-quot-Stock-ROM-quot-Easy-Root-ZIP-update to root a T8 v2. It may well work on other models, but be careful.

Did you manage to get it rooted? I recently got one too and have been looking into rooting it but not been having much luck. Have you had any luck doing so?

@lien007 - Did you try the one from step 3) above? Maybe check with the support team of the company you purchased it from, to see if they think it will work.
