GPD XD BUTTON MAPPING

I JUST GOT MY GPD XD AND TRIED DOWNLOAD NUMEROUS GAMES AND THEY DOWNLOADED FINE, HOWEVER I TRY PLAY AND THE BUTTONS APPEAR ON SCREEN AND NO MATTER WHAT I DO I CAN'T SEEM TO GET THE ACTUAL PHYSICAL BUTTONS TO WORK , HOW TO I CHANGE THE ON SCREEN BUTTONS TO PHYSICAL
