q7 box freezing and resetting

q7 box freezes and then resets every 5 minutes,tried factory reset from android settings menu but no difference.also tried a hard reset but the controller wont respond in the menu no matter what i do so i cant select the factory wipe and reset option.the box seems quite hot to touch as well.
Can anyone help?

Re the Q7 recovery menu, if you're using a VIP remote control, can you try flipping it over (so the air mouse function stops) and then using the cursor keys and return to select the menu options?
