I have an M9X that has been running fine until recently. Went to update to 17 and google play says
"This version of the app is incompatible with your device. To fix this problem go to settings and uninstall updates for the google play store app"
Now I didn't install any updates and there is no where to uninstall them that I can find. So I went to do a reset. Unit powers down and an hour later has not powered up. try that a few times, still nothing. Then I tried the ole toothpick in the reset button. nope, nothing.
It did one time load android and check the files but still stuck with Jarvis, a google play I can't use and a reset that doesn't do anything?

Is there a thread or sub forum for this box?
Am I missing a trick? does it take 90 min to do a reset and I just need to wait longer?
is there another way to do a factory reset?
any and all help appreciated.

I suspect your m9x is running android 4.4.2? You need a minimum of android 5 to run Kodi 17.
Have you checked with your box supplier whether there is a firmware update that will provide android 5 (note that on boxes running older amlogic chips eg. S802/805 series, android 5 won't run anyway).
Anyway why update to Kodi 17 - there is no real need right now.
There is no m9x section on the forum as it is not a box supplied by Droidbox to my knowledge.
