Hi, I've recently just got the X7 and I can't seem to get it to work on wired connection. Connected to wireless bit can't be doing with lag/interference so I want to connect it wired. I enable the Ethernet in settings bit it doesn't register a connection. I know it's working as I can pull the cable out and straight into the WiiU sat next to it and works fine. Is there something I'm missing?

Any chance your DHCP pool is configured differently or disabled? If you know the IP range, you could try picking a high number from it, manually specifying the IP address, subnet (255.255.255.0), default gateway (check IP on bottom of modem/router), and DNS can either be your modem/router's IP address, or you can manually specify Google's/OpenDNS' DNS primary and secondary IPs.

Let me know if you need a hand inputting the values, check the bottom of your X7 for a label, and let me know the model listed there.

Not sure. Any device I've ever connected through Ethernet has always connected itself (sometimes enabling/choosing a wired setting). First time I'd be messing with these settings, I thought it'd connect itself? If I have to put them in manually I'll have to just a bit fuzzy on the what and where.

It's X7 Ultimate.

Hi I had the same problem and tried this solution to no avail. I found this blog ( https://droidbox.co.uk/blog/from-dynamic-to-static/ ) and tried to input these settings myself but without any result. On the droidbox it says that the ethernet is connected but then in the bottom right it says no internet connection. I wonder if it is to do with my router which is a Netgear DG834g?

@patrico - Are you putting in 192.168.0.1 as the default gateway? See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Netgear_DG834_(series)#Default_settings and http://pcsupport.about.com/od/netgear-default-passwords/a/dg834g-default-password.htm . Is the manual IP address you've specified definitely not in use by something else on the network, and within the DHCP pool? You would be better choosing either something nice and high, outside the dhcp range, or at least high so other devices aren't likely to demand it as well, or think it is open in the DHCP pool.
@boydroid - If https://droidbox.co.uk/blog/from-dynamic-to-static/ doesn't help, let me know the exact values you're typing in, and your make & model for the modem/router.

On the above blog were the entry says IP ADDRESS: 192.168.1.250 (IF YOUR MODEM/ROUTER was 192.168.0.1 then use 192.168.1.250) Should it say (IF YOUR MODEM/ROUTER was 192.168.0.1 then use 192.168.0.250 and not 192.168.1.250?
