You deserve a life, don't worry. I've just did the Feb 2015 updates and received a load of errors. Running XBMC 12.4. There's no mention of Kodi here anyplace. My natural inclination is to update to the latest whatever, but not if it will mess up the wizard. To update or not? Running a Q7. Cheers.
Hang fire for a short time on the Kodi upgrade, new Wizard is being written that will work well with it. You're using Frodo, check the forum area for your model, if it is X7/Q7, there will be a Gotham build available from a pinned thread. If it is M6/iMX6, then it might still be possible with Gotham, I've not yet tried Kodi myself with the older AmLogic based devices. Hoping to have a play over the weekend, but need to sort a car out and complete digital audio tests first.
