Oh ok. I only use LibreELEC. If the LibreELEC build isn't stable enough does that mean updating via SD card (as per the link above) is not recommended either or is the problem purely an OTA issue?
Recently I think LibreELEC actually tried to update itself when I switched the box on. It...
So how's that OTA Update coming on? :-)
Although now if I try to check for updates I get 'Error fetching update info: Error communicating with server!'. Any idea what that is about?
Oh right. Ok, thanks. :-)
That post is from May. Based on previous updates does anyone know the sorts of time-frames involved in the release process? :-)
Hi guys. I've got a TS-8 Plus V2 from last year. Is the only way to update LibrElec via SD card in the link above? I don't really use the Android side of things but I had a look on there at the OTA Updater app and it said there weren't any updates available. Is that just for updating Android stuff?
I had a feeling that was the case. To be honest, that's one of the reasons i went with the Droidbox device. Don't really want to have to be dealing with the nuts and bolts myself. :-)
Thanks. I had a quick look. I found something about hardware acceleration from last year but I don't know much currently about LibreElec release cycles to know if that's still an issue. I'm using 8.0.2 I think as I bought my Droidbox quite recently so it's got Kodi 17.3 on there. If I find...
Currently I have my DVD collection ripped to ISO files and I'm using Kodi with the Droidbox booted to LibreElec. I'm having some issues with TV show playback and wondered if anyone had any solutions to it.
Movies seem to work fine, with all the DVD menus showing as expected, but I'm...
Hi folks. I'm sure you've been biting your nails waiting for an update! ;-)
I can confirm that the cable was the issue. The Kodi wiki seems to indicate there may be a problem with less expensive cables (http://kodi.wiki/view/CEC#Common_Issues_with_CEC). No matter though as it's working now. I...
There is an MHL port on the AVR but I wasn't using it. I was using a port designated for Blu-ray players which is CEC-enabled. I'll do a more thorough test when i get a moment next week and let you know. :-)
Hi. I basically unplugged the PS4 and plugged the cable into the back of the Droidbox. So it's technically possible it's not the cable but the HDMI port on my AVR. I've ordered a new cable anyway so I'll be able to confirm or deny this in a few days. :-)
Right. I seem to have got to the bottom of the problem!
It's not a software thing. The HDMI cable that came bundled with the Droidbox isn't good enough. I swapped cables with my PS4 and it's working properly now. I think cables need to be HDMI 1.4 compliant. I'd imagine 3D probably wont work...
I tried a factory reset and it still wouldn't work. Should it work out of the box?
Just trying to think how best to test where it's going wrong. I suppose I could plug it directly into the TV and see if that works.
Hi. I recently got a t8-s plus v2 and I'm struggling a bit to get the HDMI CEC working. I found the settings for the CEC Adapter under Input > Peripherals but it doesn't seem to work. The weird thing is that I'm pretty sure it worked to some degree when i first configured it.
Has anyone else...
