Over all I've noticed playback of all movies are not as smooth anymore.

Tried changing things like Hq Scalers and both acceleration on and off. Was wondering if any figured out a good fix using the DroidBox+Kodi 17.6?

I might try to figure out how to role back to an older version kodi

Google search Kodi.tv/ downloads scroll down to older releases/ here/ android/ x86/ old. Uninstall your current version of kodi before installing an older version. Am still finding Jarvis (cemc) to be more stable than Krypton for streaming.

If you ever get really stuck/want to experiment, you can also have Kodi using an external app to handle the video playback, something like MX Player or VLC can be worth a try. https://droidbox.co.uk/how-to/manually-choosing-default-video-player/ has the steps. You'll lose some functionality (automatic subtitle downloading jumps to mind), but it can help when playback won't go smoothly.

I have had this problem in the past it was a odd one. I got a Gb home network bit my 4k and 1080p was buffering only some times. The guys at droidbox sent me another box and never had the problem again. When I get home I will post the settings I use in video playback section.
