Yes there is a steady red light on when it's plugged in. I did what he did in the video and still no boot menu. I'll go ahead and buy the remote. I don't see any other option.

I didn't know that was there. xD I put a toothpick in, held the button down, plugged in the power and nothing. Didn't take me to any recovery menu. I also tried having it plugged in the pressing the button and still nothing.

I know the remote I can buy off Amazon that works for this, i'm trying to see if there is a way to turn it on without the remote before I go and buy it. When it's on I can work with it from there but I don't have a way to turn it on.

OK, let me first off apologize if this is in the wrong area but I don't know the details about my MXQ box. Long story short a family members gave me the MXQ box but no remote. There is no power button on the box anywhere. Is there any other way I can turn it on or do I have to buy a replacement...
