Hi I just purchased real debrid and using a vpn. Can I run two boxes in different locations on one account I not be using at same time. I do not understand if using a VPN. How would it be known if I was using two boxes at different locations. Thanks for any help in this matter

Are you referring to using VPN on two different devices at the same time or your Real Debrid account?

I think the query was whether RealDebrid would notice/complain/suspend an account.

Whilst I can't guarantee it, if you did not use the devices at the same time Gazza42uk, and both are signed up to the same VPN service, I don't think RealDebrid would notice.

Sorry for resurrecting this thread but I have a related question:

I connect to Real-Debrid via a VPN client (to NordVPN) on my router. This works fine, but I was thinking of configuring the router to periodically determine which is the 'preferred' VPN server for the specified location (e.g. least loaded, lowest ping time, etc.) and switch to that. This could result in a different IP address, albeit associated with the same geographic location, being presented for the real-debrid client device.

Will this require re-authentication?
i.e. does real-debrid use the IP address for verification or can it identify the specific client (e.g. Droidbox)?

Thanks Nigelar, but that refers to an issue where the OP couldn't get the authentication to work (at least initially).

I don't have that problem as my connection is fine when I've connected to a particular VPN server, and then authenticated via that.

What I don't know is whether the authentication will hold if I then change VPN server, and hence the IP address that real-debrid sees.

I suspect I'm just going to have to test it, and hopefully not screw up my RD account.

Just a thought. Do RD offer any technical support to their subscribers? They are sure to have had similar questions in the past. Maybe even in a FAQ?

I hope so, as I have sent them an email to enquire. However their website is a bit limited (there isn't a FAQ, support or contact section), the 'Help' system is basic, and they no longer have a user forum, so I don't know if they will respond.

I'll give it a couple of days before I try testing though, just in case.

Thanks for your time.
